Yellow Belt

Corban tested for his yellow belt today which was in conjuction with the normal class. His sensei would have the class run through their elements while watching Corban to make sure he was doing them correctly. Corban passed with a 95% which is apparently pretty good. Corban's sensei likes to brag on Corban and said that most students pass with grades in the 70s. He said that Corban listens to the instructions well and when the sensei says to kick with your foot turned just slightly more to the left (or whatever), Corban does it first time. He said again that he really enjoys having Corban as a student. I thought that was really nice.

The sensei did not have belts with him, so Corban is supposed to receive it on Tuesday. We got the testing on video, so hopefully we'll get the "awarding" of the belt as well and I'll be able to get out a video within the next couple years. Ha! comments
