Breaking

Finally! The weather broke past the freezing point today! It has been so cold here for the past few days. It has not gotten above freezing since Thursday, and Friday did not get out of the teens! Karis went outside on Friday to check the mail with Corban and came back inside sobbing. Her hands had gotten so cold even though she was only outside for a few minutes, and was wearing her heavy coat.

Because it was so cold, we did not get out at all this weekend. I thought we would try to do some sledding or playing in the snow, but after the incident with Karis we were too concerned about possible frostbite on any exposed skin. We simply stayed inside and played various games while Kristen braved the cold to run a few errands.

Kristen's parents and her brother's family will be arriving on Tuesday evening, so we (Kristen :-) will start preparing for that.
