More Houses

We've opened up our house search a bit by looking at houses in Loveland as well. This will put me a little farther away from work, but is only 10-12 miles away, which was my distance from Erie to Lockheed and/or Intrado. 

It is somewhat harder to find the right location in Loveland because not all schools appear to have the same quality of education. I know that is not always the most important element, but it is one of the concerns.

Anyway, we looked quite a bit this week. I flexed my hours so we could look at houses during the day instead of just looking in the evening. House-hunting is frustrating. You look at a house and think you really like it. Then you go look at it a second time and see all the things you missed or did not realize the first time. Ugh! 

We were not able to look at houses today. Our realtor was too busy with other stuff, so we just sat around the house, hoping something would happen in his schedule so we could go look at houses. Time is still ticking. Tick, tick, tick.

Oh, and on a good note, we found out that will will be getting a small chunk of money out of the sell of our house that we can apply toward a downpayment. We can also create an offer to have the seller pay for our closing costs which will help with up front cash issues as well. So, I don't think we will have to completely deplete our savings! Woot!
