We left the house later then planned on Saturday. Kaela had woken us up in the middle of the night vomitting. She spent the next couple hours vomitting about 8 more times. At the time, we were uncertain if we would even be leaving on Saturday, but Kaela woke up cheerful, ate breakfast without any problems and appeared to be feeling just fine. We decided to forge ahead, but threw a barf-bowl into. The car in case any vomitting ensured.
Our original plan was to make it to a hotel in Columbia MO in time for supper at a recommended pizza joint (Shakespeare's pizza) then spend any remaining time in the pool. We were still able to make it to our reserved hotel, but not in time for swimming, and certainly not for pizza.
The hotel, Hampton Inn, was located next to the University of Missouri. It was the nicest place we have stayed in so far, but, of course, it cost more.
We are on the road again, just passing into KY. The trip has been smooth so far, and most importantly, barf free. It's times like this, though, I wish I worked for an airline company.

Thank you, God, for answering our prayers for a safe and happy trip. Bless little Kaela's heart!
Her heart is just fine, actually. It was her tummy that was messed up.
