Christmas Tree

Our tree is up, decorated, and lit. We did it Sunday evening. The kids were SO excited, especially Corban. He was a little spastic :-). The kids ran back and forth between Kristen and the tree putting on the balls and ornaments. Kaela kept taking them off, wandering around the room with them, eventually wandering back to the tree to try to hang it back on again. Our tree was only half decorated when done (the bottom half) and several branches had three or four ornaments hanging on them :-).

We used our $2 tree that we got from a garage sale again this year. Last year we had a lot of problems with the tree falling over. I'd come down the stairs to start getting ready for work and find the tree laying on the ground. This year I sawed off the bottom of the tree to get a wider, flatter base, instead of the crimped base that was on it before. It now fits nicely over the teeth in our tree stand and is much sturdier. It is still a little crooked, but that just gives it some character (ha!).

The kids crawl around the tree in the morning looking at the new presents that we placed under there the night before. It is fun to see their excitement.
